Vision / Mission

Revision Note:

As we are all in the process of evolving and “growing up”, I realize that my current Life purpose, after years of Wall St. and everything else, is evolving. This page no longer reflects my current Vision and Mission but I will leave it here until I have an opportunity to express my current belief structure in a coherent way. 🙂

Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy, historian and social philosopher, wrote a famous quote about being an impure thinker. I have spun his famous quote into a quote that is guiding me on my exploration:

I am an impure, imperfect human—hurt, swayed, shaken, elated, disillusioned, shocked, comforted—and before I die, I must transmute experience into meaning.

T.S. Eliot wrote this powerful piece – East Coker (the second of four quarters). I have found it to provide some interesting insight into my Buddhist / Taoist / Zen mind in my current exploration. 🙂

To arrive where you are, to get from where you are not,
You must go by a way wherein there is no ecstasy.
In order to arrive at what you do not know
You must go by a way which is the way of ignorance.
In order to possess what you do not possess
You must go by the way of dispossession.
In order to arrive at what you are not
You must go through the way in which you are not.
And what you do not know is the only thing you know
And what you own is what you do not own
And where you are is where you are not.

Harry’s Personal Vision:

People exist in a world that recognizes the importance of being strategic, authentic and collaborative. Effective leaders strive towards maximizing all three of these objectives to potentially achieve ideal results in their lives and the lives of others.

Regardless of a person’s official title in Life, every human being is a leader within their own right and therefore has an obligation to develop their abilities and the abilities of others in all three areas.

Harry’s Personal Mission:

To help people understand the importance of maximizing all three of these attributes; strategy, authenticity and collaboration, within a framework of effective communication and critical thinking skills.

Doing so helps people acquire and apply the appropriate tools, technology, processes and knowledge necessary to maximize their results and the results of the people they influence in a measurable, evidence-based way.
